I read an article in today’s paper online. Bosco’s, 435 S. Kansas Ave., is open Wednesdays through Saturdays in the historic Guaranty State Bank building in downtown Topeka. I found this business spotlight really encouraging because it is a new bar opening downtown and trying to find a niche market (the non-smoking crowd). I don’t want to get into a smoking ban debate because I used to smoke and I can find arguments for both sides, but I wanted to point out this article and what this young Topekan is doing to help bring people to downtown. Congrats Craig McCullah, and I wish you well.

Okay, so last night (September 30, 2008) Travis, Denise, Aaron and I attended the Carrie Underwood with Little Big Town show at the Kansas Expocentre. I must say the show was awesome. Both Little Big Town and Carrie Underwood were very entertaining and engaged the almost capacity house for nearly 3 hours. For a review of both shows check out the reviews written by Bill Blankenship: Review: Little Big Town opens strongly and Review: Underwood proves she’s a country diva, both on CJ Online.
